SECURING A ONE YEAR WORK VISA DOWN UNDER CAN BE AS EASY AS FILLING OUT AN ONLINE FORM IN 15 MINUTES.
My second installment on how to secure a work visa down under for Americans, this is my New Zealand edition!
Last time, I talked about how easy it can be to get a work visa for Australia, but if you also want to work & travel to that place from The Lord of the Rings, keep reading to see how it’s even easier (and much cheaper!) for New Zealand.
You may have noticed by now on this blog that I have a slight fondness for New Zealand. I’m enamored with the friendly people, the scenery, the Maori culture, and the wildlife, but would you be surprised to hear that I am also partial to the food?
New Zealand is the land of natural beauty. It’s a country that draws people from all over the world who want to experience nature at its finest. There are so many outdoor activities and adventures to go on it will make your head spin with wonder at the possibilities as soon as you set down in the country.
Most people experience the largest city in New Zealand upon entry into the country, but I flew straight from tropical Queensland to Wellington and started working full-time. I didn’t get to experience Auckland for myself until my very last week in New Zealand.
The best highlights and adventures from New Zealand to California in 2015
As I went through and reviewed this past year, a few moments in particular really stuck out to me as the best highlights from 2015. Since these moments had such an important impact on creating a great year, I wanted to tell you the anecdotes behind them and why they were so special to me.
When I look back on 2015 it is with fondness for how far I’ve come since I rung in the New Year at a little bar in Wellington, New Zealand. At that time, I had no idea what this year would bring, how many firsts I would have, and the amount of change I would experience throughout the year.
I have to be honest with you guys, I’ve been putting this post off for months.
I try to start and every time I stare into the blank page, the cursor blinking back at me, taunting me to begin. The truth is, Christchurch is a hard place to talk about because it’s not a place that I enjoyed. It’s a difficult statement to make for me, because it’s a city that has been through so much and one that I wanted to support and love with open arms.
But, in the spirit of sincerity, I thought it was finally time to share with you all what I really thought of Christchurch.
I brushed the sleep away as my phone relentlessly buzzed underneath my pillow for my wake-up call. I looked at the bunk below me to make sure Kelsey was getting up as well. Today was our long journey to Milford Sound and I was ready to soak up every minute of it.
Wellington may have the cultural flair, Auckland the big city lights, but Kaikoura has something even better: a welcoming close-knit community with an eye for the colorful eccentricies that make life interesting.
Kaikoura is a little seaside town on the East Coast of the South Island in New Zealand. Between its natural beauty, resident Fur Seals, abundance of coastal dolphins, and quirky attractions, it’s a place where everyone should make a visit.
Queenstown is the epitome of adventure. Kiwis seem to have a fondness for one-upping each other over the craziest inventions. Really, you just have to look at the facts. Taupo is the skydiving capital of THE world and both bungy and zorbing (that thing where you roll down a hill in a big plastic ball) were invented in New Zealand.
