About The Atlas Heart
The Atlas Heart is a travel blog that began at the end of 2012 by a California girl named Mimi. Starting with a backpacking trip through Costa Rica at the age of 18, she has made travel a priority, visiting 23 countries and living in 3 foreign cities since that time. The Atlas Heart is now based in the Pacific Northwest and is moving to Southeast Asia and Germany next year.
The focus of this blog is on finding that little daily dose of beauty in every destination. Slow travel and seeing a culture through the eyes of a local is the goal. You’ll also read posts on here about craft beer, new adventures, and getting lost in the outdoors. There are a lot of things about this world to love and a million more to discover.
The Atlas Heart was not only created to share personal experiences around the world, but to inspire more adventurers to go out and see the world while they’re still young at heart. This is a community that’s meant to open up a discussion about travel, the world, and the basic aspects of what makes us human.
In 2015, The Atlas Heart became a full-time career and business. Since then, all social media platforms and visitors to this blog have tripled, while a steady engagement and interest in The Atlas Heart brand has increased.
